Community acupuncture as an animal model

I wanted to take some time to highlight my version of community acupuncture. I realize some people may not be familiar with the general concept. And, I’m not certain that it has been done with animals. I wish to not only provide more accessible care, but also create an environment that promotes learning and healing in community.

With the community acupuncture sessions, two animals will be treated simultaneously while discussing different health concerns that both parties can take something different from. Patients don’t get sick in isolation, systems don’t become imbalanced without influence from other systems, and most disease doesn’t happen overnight.

I believe that every appointment should also be educational in nature. These acupuncture visits will have us working on health, socialization, and community.

The sliding scale payments also allow community members to support each other in the goal that everyone can participate. The affordable nature of this model should also allow people to be more proactive. The more often I can see them, the more opportunity to steer them back in the right direction. Often much earlier than their people are able to recognize a problem.

I have been adapting my systems for prescribing herbs that I have developed over the past 15 years to be more streamlined and efficient. This will allow me to be able to quickly provide additional herbal therapy when appropriate.

Currently, all community acupuncture clinics will be on Thursday afternoons. I can try to provide a monthly weekend session if there is a demand for it. Please book all appointments online.

I look forward to meeting you and your pets on their lifelong journeys of health.

Dr. Zach, I think this is awesome and such a great way to look at overall health and wellness. We learn so much from others and I believe this is a great way to reach people who might think they can’t afford holistic vet care. Can’t wait to visit and learn more about your vision! Keep it up!
